Sex and Relationships Education
What is SRE? An extract from Sex and Relationship Education Guidance (DfES/0116/2000) gives a logical and succinct explanation. Download the extract or the whole document. The SRE FAQs for teachers may also be helpful.
You can download PSHE End of Key Stage statements, a document giving some SRE ideas and resource suggestions. This was developed and written by Margaret Stockton.
October 23rd 2008: further to the government's review of SRE, PSHE is to be made compulsory. Read the review's recommendations and the government's response. We think this is fantastic news and we are already geared up to support you in developing your PSHE / SRE provision. We have produced some easy to use and very comprehensive guidelines for schools (warning large file) which will soon be available as interactive website as part of this website.
