Smoking

Preventing young people from taking up smoking is the focus of anti-smoking work in Swindon.

A range of projects are available including:

- Quit because - Assembley delivered by trainer from the Quit Because organisation to year 7 students.

- Decipher - ASSIST.  Trains year 8 students with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support their peer group in understanding the benefits of being smoke free.

- The Toxic Truth, teaching pack to be used with year 9 and 10 students on a range of smoking issues covering a range of curricular areas.

- 6th Sense Theatre Education workshops suitable for year 9 or 10 students.  the workshops can be delivered by the theatre group or by teachers.

- Creative Switch - 6 powerful anti-smoking short films, written and directed by students from a range of schools in Swindon.
