Anti-Bullying Week 2010 - Competition
Anti-Bullying week is 15th –19th November 2010. The Theme this year is ‘Taking Action Together’. The campaign extends the idea of the Bystander theme from the child who watches while bullying is happening, to include the adult who turns a blind eye, the parent who doesn’t know how to help, and the school and community that don’t take action to tackle bullying.
The local Swindon Celebration Event will be held on Friday 19th November 2010 – 9.15am – 12.00pm at New College.
As part of the Anti-Bullying celebrations we will be running a competition open to all schools to submit either a piece of artwork, poem, creative writing or multi-media. There will be an overall prize awarded for each key stage and an overall winner. Prizes will be a voucher to use on Swindon Borough Council leisure facilities. The closing date for the competition is: 22nd October 2010. All entries to be sent to Surbjit Gill at the address below. The entry form can be downloaded here.
