CreativeSwitch Premiere:
Monday 27th September 2010, 7.00pm
As you may know pupils from your school were chosen to participate in a film competition on smoking facts and fiction. Six teams in total from 5 schools across Swindon have been working on this major media project. The competition was launched to schools on No Smoking Day in March along with the new Toxic Tobacco Truth resource pack. Pupils have since been working with the support of media professionals from Create Studios, part of Swindon Borough Council’s Culture Team.
We hope they have enjoyed researching, script writing and filming as part of a Production Team. We are all looking forward to seeing the results of the final adverts produced by each team.
Each team was asked to produce an advert, which delivered the key messages that they wanted to be heard about the impact of smoking on young people and families. I hope you will be able to join us for the premiere:
Monday 27th September, The Arts Centre, Devizes Road, Swindon, 7.00pm
We are going for an Oscar’s-style event, so evening dress is optional!
