HIV Education & Dance: Get Involved

Date: 28 Oct 2010

Dance4Life combines dance and HIV education to empower young people to stand up and negotiate their own life choices.  During a workshop an HIV+ speaker talks to young people about how HIV has affected their life.

The workshop finishes with the young people being taught a dance called 'The Drill'. This year participants will also be invited to join the dance4life team at the Counter Culture Project at London Bridge on November 27th for the 'BIG dance event'. At the event, 'The Drill' will be danced in unison with hundreds other young people from across the country and thousands of others from 28 countries via a live satellite link-up. This is the dance routine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VNtn80XXqc .  This is the event in 2008 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXVlqY6wHF0&feature=channel
