Social Norms

If you have been out and about in Swindon you may have noticed some billboards relating to the social norms work that 4 secondary schools have been involved in.  Reaction to the billboards, that promote the safe choices young people are making around alcohol, has been very positive.  Click here to see the news article from the Swindon Advertiser.

Two secondary schools have also completed ASSIST for a second year, training a group of year 8 students to promote the benefits of being smoke free to their peer group.  The number of young people smoking in Swindon continues to decline and much of this can be attributed to the work done in schools to promote anti-smoking messages.
