Changes within Swindon Young Carers

Hello, my name is Trish Moroney and I am the newly appointed Young Carers Development Worker replacing Jo Hartley. I have a background in special education, and worked with children in the hospital setting. I am delighted to have this opportunity and am looking forward to working with everyone. The first couple of weeks have been a sharp learning curve as I get to grips with the new job.

Jo left a very well organised desk and I have been working my way through all the information which she so thoughtfully left and realise that I will have a hard job to follow in her footsteps.

One of the first tasks I need to complete is to contact schools and complete an audit of how many schools have a Young Carers Policy and find out how effective they have found the policy to be.
