DirectGov Kids

This website is for children at Key Stages 1 and 2, their teachers and their parents. It is designed to teach children about people and places in their local community. The site features a series of buildings which children can explore, including a school, fire station, town hall, police station, supermarket and a wind farm. Games and activities introduce ideas such as citizenship, democracy and political participation.

Teachers can access a large number of lesson plans, activities and worksheets, covering the primary curriculum, with an emphasis on PSHE and Citizenship. Family activity sheets are also available in the parents area.
