Global Children’s Challenge™

Many of the UK’s Healthy Schools’ Co-ordinators have done an amazing job promoting the event to the primary schools in their region which we are truly grateful for. Because of their support, thousands of children in the UK will be taking part in this wonderful FREE initiative which will hopefully give them the tools they need to live a healthier and happier life both now and in the future.

The closing date for applications is the 15th September 2010 and there are still some places available. If you haven’t yet got all of your schools involved there is still time for them to apply.

A quick overview of the Global Children’s Challenge:

  • 100,000 primary school children from over 80 countries worldwide will take part.
  • Children in years 4, 5 & 6 are eligible to participate.
  • A 50 day challenge.
  • September 29th – November 17th, 2010.
  • Classes participate as one team.
  • Each child receives their own pedometer to measure their step count.
  • Completely free of charge.
  • Strictly limited places.

How can schools get involved?

  • Please feel free to download our e-flyer http://www.gccjunior.org/resources
  • They can visit our award winning website www.gccjunior.org and complete the quick application form to register their classes.
  • Places are allocated on a first come first served basis, so they need to be quick to avoid disappointment!
  • If you’ve already encouraged all of the schools in your region to participate that’s amazing! You can ignore this email safe in the knowledge that the children in your region will be taking the necessary steps to a healthier future.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me by email, on the number below or you can refer to the FAQ section of the website http://www.gccjunior.org/faq

Many Thanks.
