Child Safety Week is the Child Accident Prevention Trust’s flagship community education campaign. It aims to raise awareness of the number of accidents that seriously injure or kill children every year and the steps we can take to help prevent them. Child Safety Week is for anyone working with families or children. So whether you work in a nursery, children’s centre, GP surgery, school, your own home, in the community, in road or fire safety or anywhere else working with children or families, you can get involved with Child Safety Week. The emphasis of the Week is on empowering families to take positive action rather than telling them what to do, or lecturing them about what they are doing wrong.
