Free History Alive Opportunities for Primary Schools
Date: 28 Aug 2024
The Railway Village museum has teamed up with Prime Theatre to offer free activities for primary schools across the South West during the Autumn/Winter term 2024. GWR Community Foundation has provided funding for Prime Theatre’s ‘History Alive’ project, where you can bring up to 2 classes to ‘Meet Mrs Smith’ in this c.1901 GWR worker’s family home.
Pupils will enjoy an interactive tour from actor/musician Louise Jordan in the role of Mrs Smith, who lived at 34 Faringdon Road, SN1 5BP, and learn about Victorian Life and Work.
A Supporting activity will be hosted at the neighbouring Central Community Centre.
To secure your place contact at sarah@primetheatre.co.uk or on 01793 614864
Transport: This activity is completely free, although schools will need to arrange transport.
Location: The Railway Village Museum is located in the centre of Swindon’s Historic Railway Village, 34 Farringdon Road, SN1 5JP.
