Free new Autumn nature walk resource for primary schools

Date: 16 May 2025

Food for Life has launched a new resource for schools: Autumn: Nature Walk and Celebration Lunch

Food for Life say: "We know how hard teachers work to keep the curriculum inspiring and relevant, and how little time there is for planning and preparation. Over the past year our expert training team have collaborated closely with two primary schools in Hull, with funding from The Joseph and Annie Cattle Trust, to codesign a bespoke framework for primary schools to deliver curriculum activities with a focus on wellbeing, enjoying nature and eating for good health. This brand-new project plan is bursting with inspiring resources that can be delivered over a few weeks as a complete project or dipped into to build upon what is already in the lesson schedule. The project puts food at the heart of learning, with activities leading to the organisation of an autumn-themed nature walk and a celebration lunch. There are six sections, with guidance resources for teachers and worksheets to use in the classroom".
