How to approach the conversation and the facts around smoking

With January just around the corner, it is a great time for people to feel motivated to make a change and stop smoking. The best thing we can do is let them know they are not alone and even if they have tried before, they can still quit and quit for good. Anyone who wants to stop smoking can tap into local support for their tobacco addiction if they want to.
- People can self-refer to local stop smoking service using swindon.stopsmoking@nhs.net or calling 07341 077530.
- Weekly stop smoking drop in clinic is Wednesdays between 9:30am and 10.30am and between 2.00pm and 4.00pm at Sanford House.
- The NHS Better Health Website includes free evidence based tools to people to quit - access to a free app, personalised quit plan, details of the Facebook group for peer support and NHS smokefree helpline.
- Swindon stop smoking services include access to evidence based stop smoking aids such as Nicotine Replacement Therapy, stop smoking medications or a free 4 week vape starter pack.
